Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive, enterprise-wide PR and communications strategies that align with business goals, increase brand visibility, and protect reputation.
  • Lead crisis communication efforts, acting as the primary spokesperson during critical situations, and develop proactive strategies to mitigate reputational risks.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and board, and elevate executive profiles through thought leadership, media training, and high-impact speaking engagements.
  • Cultivate and maintain top-tier relationships with national media, influencers, industry partners, and community stakeholders to secure positive coverage.
  • Lead, mentor, and build high-performing PR and communication teams, fostering a collaborative, "one-team" environment.
  • Oversee content creation across all platforms (digital, internal, social media, and traditional press) to ensure consistent messaging.

Requirements

  • Typically, 10–15+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, PR, agencies, or public affairs, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, Journalism, or a related field; an advanced degree (Master’s/MBA) is frequently preferred.
  • A proven track record in high-stakes media relations and crisis management, with established relationships with key media outlets.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and public speaking abilities, with the ability to influence C-suite leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen to align communications with commercial goals, coupled with the ability to interpret data and analytics to measure success.

  • Advanced degree (Master’s/MBA) preferred.
