The Mission

We are seeking a high-power Senior Vice President (SVP) of PR & Communications is a C-suite adjacent strategic leader responsible for shaping the public image, corporate narrative, and internal communication strategies of a major organization. This executive acts as the chief guardian of the company’s reputation, counseling senior management, managing high-stakes crises, and driving integrated communications across media, digital, and employee channels.

Core Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive, enterprise-wide PR and communications strategies that align with business goals, increase brand visibility, and protect reputation.
• Crisis Management & Issues Mitigation: Lead crisis communication efforts, acting as the primary spokesperson during critical situations, and develop proactive strategies to mitigate reputational risks.
• Executive Counsel & Visibility: Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and board, and elevate executive profiles through thought leadership, media training, and high-impact speaking engagements.
• Media & Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate and maintain top-tier relationships with national media, influencers, industry partners, and community stakeholders to secure positive coverage.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and build high-performing PR and communication teams, fostering a collaborative, "one-team" environment.
• Integrated Content Strategy: Oversee content creation across all platforms (digital, internal, social media, and traditional press) to ensure consistent messaging.

The Ideal Profile

• Experience: Typically, 10–15+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, PR
• agencies, or public affairs, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, Journalism, or a related field; an advanced degree (Master’s/MBA) is frequently preferred.
• Crisis & Media Expertise: A proven track record in high-stakes media relations and crisis management, with established relationships with key media outlets.
• Leadership Presence: Exceptional verbal, written, and public speaking abilities, with the ability to influence C-suite leadership and internal stakeholders.
• Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Strong business acumen to align communications with commercial goals, coupled with the ability to interpret data and analytics to measure success.
