Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Drive a steady pipeline of meaningful media coverage across top-tier tech and business outlets, local media, and relevant industry-specific publications
  • Build and leverage strong relationships with journalists, editors, and contributors across relevant media
  • Identify and develop compelling story angles based on company developments, partnerships, and product milestones
  • Own the full media cycle: from idea generation and pitching to securing coverage and managing follow-ups
  • Write and refine high-quality materials, including press releases, pitches, bylines, engaging blog posts, and executive talking points
  • Partner with teams across the company (product, engineering, business, leadership) to surface newsworthy moments
  • Support communications for launches, partnerships, and market expansions
  • Contribute to broader communications strategy, bringing ideas and perspective on positioning and messaging
  • Support cross-functional communications initiatives, including marketing, sales, and employer branding / HR-related projects when needed

Requirements

  • An experienced PR professional with a strong track record of securing media coverage in tech and/or business media
  • Well-connected, with an existing network of journalist relationships you actively maintain
  • Comfortable operating independently and driving outcomes end-to-end
  • A strong writer with the ability to craft clear, compelling narratives from complex or technical topics
  • Curious and proactive — you don’t wait for stories, you find and shape them
  • Confident collaborating with stakeholders at different levels, including senior leadership
  • Able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience with social media as an extension of PR efforts — amplifying coverage, shaping narratives, and engaging audiences — is a strong plus
  • Candidates are required to be authorized to work in the U.S. The employer is not offering relocation sponsorship, and remote work options are not available.

Preferred

  • Experience in high-growth tech companies or emerging technology sectors (e.g., autonomous systems, robotics, AI)
  • Experience working across multiple markets or with international media
  • Background in both in-house and agency environments
