Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Senior Specialist, Business Intelligence leverages advanced analytics, data modeling, and visualization to translate complex business questions into actionable insights that inform strategic and operational decisions. Partnering closely with product, marketing, and operations stakeholders, this role designs and maintains robust BI solutions and self-service reporting, improves data quality and accessibility, and mentors others on data-driven decision making.
  • Define the vision : For each marketing domain, leading with a strong point of view on what the end-state intelligence product should be, informed by stakeholder input and an understanding of today’s gaps, and building a strategic case for what to build, for whom, and why
  • Strategic thought partner to marketing leaders : Pressure-testing what stakeholders think they need, challenging assumptions, and aligning on the intelligence investments that will have the greatest impact on decisions and outcomes
  • Translate strategy into specs : Outlining mockups, data requirements, and prioritized feature sets with enough detail for BI analysts to build from, prototyping and validating concepts using available data and tools before committing to full builds
  • Drive adoption post-launch : Monitoring usage, diagnosing where adoption stalls, and iterating on products until they are embedded in day-to-day workflows
  • Incorporate AI capabilities : Defining AI-related needs where they make products more actionable such as automated insight surfacing, anomaly detection, or natural language interaction

Requirements

  • 8+ years in marketing analytics , media analytics, or strategic analytics -ideally shaping analytical approaches and recommendations, not just executing against predefined briefs. Experience at analytics consultancies, media agencies, or specialized firms (e.g., marketing mix, attribution) highly valued
  • Marketing fluency : Strong familiarity with marketing data and analytics needs, including deep fluency in at least one domain such as paid media, owned media, or marketing measurement
  • Business acumen : Able to quickly grasp business context and objectives, ensuring that marketing insights, performance metrics, and intelligence products directly connect to core business outcomes
  • Hands-on technical skills : Experience with SQL and dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI), with the ability to work directly with data to prototype and iterate
  • Consultative mindset : Track record of digging into how stakeholders make decisions, pushing past surface-level requests, and delivering higher-impact solutions
  • Executive communication : Able to present a strategic point of view with clarity and confidence, and challenge constructively while maintaining trust
  • Strategic agility : Able to ramp quickly in unfamiliar areas, build credibility with new stakeholder groups, and independently structure a path forward
  • AI curiosity : Genuine interest in experimenting with AI tools and incorporating AI-augmented capabilities into analytics work; deep expertise not required
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred

  • Master’s in a quantitative or business field (MBA, MSBA, Economics, Statistics) a plus
