Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager, Speechwriting and Executive Communications amplifies the American Dental Association's thought leadership platform via ADA elected leaders to key audiences across multiple channels, advancing the ADA’s reputation as a trusted, global health care leader. This position provides strategic vision and spearheads executive leadership communications strategies, plans, and materials in concert with ADA's overall communications strategy to promote the ADA’s vision and mission.
Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or Experience in lieu of degree
- 8 years experience (or 12 in lieu of degree) in/with nonprofit, agency, corporate or government communications including at least 3 years in C-Suite speech writing
- Knowledge of digital and social media landscape and understanding of key issues in dentistry and healthcare
- Must have verbal communication, writing, collaboration, results-focused, prioritization, strategic, self-starter skills and attributes
- Proficiency in M365 or comparable
- Travel about twice per year for House of Delegates meeting and other executive communications
- Position may require more than the standard number of hours of work within a workweek, may require before or after hours work, and/or may require weekend work
- Experience in health care or science-based professions
- Experience facilitating communications sessions for non-communications professionals
- Experience developing employee communications strategies
