Job Summary

Own external narrative and media strategy to connect Flexport’s platform and product news with large macro trade stories, while building executive visibility.

  • PR and media relations: proactive pitches, rapid response, and press outreach to top outlets.
  • Narrative and voice: align platform messaging with industry trends and differentiate from legacy freight forwarders.

Job Description

Own Flexport's external narrative and media strategy, aligning executive storytelling with product and platform messaging to move coverage and pipeline.

  • Support PR strategy end-to-end: proactive media pitching, inbound media management, press releases, and rapid response.
  • Help define and evolve Flexport's narrative — connect platform and products to macro trade stories and differentiate from legacy freight forwarders.
  • Influence content strategy across blog, social, website, webinars, and owned channels.
  • Build and deepen relationships with reporters and outlets covering logistics, trade, technology, and business.
  • Develop and execute a thought leadership program for CEO and senior leaders on global trade, supply chain innovation, and AI in logistics.
  • Staff and prep spokespeople for interviews, panels, and media appearances with training and briefing materials.
  • Monitor the news cycle for opportunities to insert Flexport into breaking industry narratives.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, and Content Marketing to support campaigns, launches, and pipeline objectives.
  • Own the voice and cadence of customer communications outside product and transactional workflows.
  • Develop frameworks and templates to ensure timely, accurate, on-brand customer communications during high-stakes moments.
