Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve Mixbook's organic growth strategy across technical SEO, information architecture, on-page optimization, site discoverability, authority building, and AI/LLM discovery, setting the longer-term roadmap while driving near-term priorities and day-to-day execution
  • Identify and prioritize the highest-impact organic opportunities based on customer search behavior, competitive gaps, business priorities, seasonality, and performance data
  • Lead the technical SEO and information architecture roadmap, partnering with Product and Engineering to improve crawlability, indexing, Core Web Vitals, site hierarchy, navigation, taxonomy, URL structures, internal linking, and structured data
  • Translate organic growth opportunities and technical findings into clear business cases, implementation requirements, and prioritized recommendations, influencing roadmap decisions across Product, Engineering, and Merchandising, including the SEO implications of platform, CMS, template, and merchandising choices and proactively identifying organic risks tied to major site, platform, and structural changes
  • Identify and operationalize scalable improvements across templates, product and category pages, feeds, structured data, and content systems, and build an experimentation roadmap to test what drives growth
  • Partner with Brand and Content to translate search demand, customer needs, and authority gaps into content priorities, briefs, and optimization recommendations, including when to create, refresh, consolidate, or strengthen existing assets
  • Define Mixbook's organic authority strategy across backlinks, brand mentions, citations, reviews, expert content, and community signals, and manage the SEO vendors who support content and link building
  • Own Mixbook's approach to emerging search and answer environments, including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity, ensuring priority experiences are structured to serve as authoritative, citable sources even when discovery does not result in a site visit
  • Define, track, and report on organic growth KPIs including search visibility, qualified traffic, branded and non-branded demand, CTR, engagement, conversion, revenue contribution, and AI/zero-click visibility, including citation/source inclusion and competitive presence, partnering with Product, CRO, and Analytics to understand and improve end-to-end organic performance
  • Champion organic growth and discoverability best practices across the organization, collaborating with Paid Media, CRM, Product, Brand, Content, Product Marketing, Community, and Analytics

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience across SEO, organic growth, or related digital growth roles, with deep hands-on SEO expertise and a strong track record driving organic growth for ecommerce, marketplace, or DTC brands with complex site architectures and large-scale content or product ecosystems
  • Proven ability to independently own and operate a holistic organic growth and SEO program as a team of one, setting the longer-term strategy while remaining hands-on in execution, prioritization, technical problem-solving, performance optimization, and vendor management, in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment with competing priorities and limited resources
  • Deep expertise across technical SEO, information architecture, site hierarchy and taxonomy, on-page optimization, internal linking, structured data and schema markup, canonicalization, crawl optimization, URL structures, and product/category relationships for large-scale, product-driven websites
  • Strong experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams to define requirements, contribute to roadmap prioritization, and navigate product workflows so SEO initiatives get scoped, resourced, and shipped
  • Demonstrated ability to identify search demand, content gaps, and authority opportunities through customer behavior, competitive analysis, and performance data, and translate those insights into actionable recommendations for Brand and Content partners
  • Strong analytical and experimentation mindset, with a working understanding of how technical SEO, information architecture, content quality, topical authority, internal linking, and brand and external authority signals combine to drive visibility, engagement, conversion, customer acquisition, and revenue
  • Strong understanding of modern search ecosystems, including AI/LLM-driven discovery, zero-click experiences, evolving SERP behaviors, and the signals that influence brand visibility, authority, citation, and competitive presence across emerging answer environments
  • Experience managing international and localization SEO programs, including regional keyword strategy, content optimization, and translation workflows across multiple markets
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority across Growth, Product, Engineering, Brand, Content, Merchandising, Product Marketing, Community, and Analytics teams
  • Hands-on experience with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs/SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Looker, and content/CMS platforms
