Job Description

Responsibilities

  • C-Store: Own the C-Store channel as a strategic vertical, developing scalable marketing strategies, retail media support, in-store activation plans, and go-to-market recommendations across key convenience store accounts.
  • Club: Own retail media strategy and execution for Club accounts, creating a unified approach to campaign planning, budget allocation, activation support, and performance optimization.
  • Walmart: Partner with the eCommerce team to provide holistic Walmart marketing support, coordinating on initiatives while eCommerce maintains the primary WMC relationship.
  • New Markets: Lead marketing support for new market expansion planning and ongoing support, translating priorities into clear activation plans and scalable market-specific processes.
  • Analyze and interpret campaign performance metrics, including ROI, conversion, share-of-search, syndicated sales data, and retailer reporting, to optimize marketing initiatives.
  • Manage omnichannel marketing budgets for assigned accounts, ensuring strategic allocation of resources and clear visibility to spend, performance, and tradeoffs.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and best-in-class omnichannel marketing practices.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Business Analytics, Creative, and eCommerce teams to align strategies, share insights, and support stronger planning across priority retail channels.
  • Manage vendor and external partner deliverables to support faster campaign activation, stronger execution, and reduced reliance on ad hoc external support.
  • Build repeatable ways of working that help the team move from reactive support to proactive planning, execution, and performance optimization.

Requirements

  • 6-8+ years of experience in Shopper Marketing, Trade Marketing, Retail Media, or a related field within the CPG industry, in a fast-paced environment, with C-Store, Club, Canada, or Walmart marketing support experience.
  • Strategic thinker with a proven track record of translating retailer objectives, performance insights, and business priorities into data-driven marketing programs.
  • Experience with retail media platforms such as Goose Media, Gulp Media, Criteo, Sam's Connect, WMC, or similar platforms strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics, syndicated sales data, retailer reporting, and campaign results into actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple retailers, channels, deadlines, budgets, and agency or vendor deliverables simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and cross-functional influence skills, with experience aligning Sales, Marketing, Business Analytics, Creative, eCommerce, and external partners.
  • Proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can help move the team from reactive support to proactive planning, sharper prioritization, and stronger execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a relevant field.

Preferred

  • Experience with retail content management, retail media planning, and omnichannel campaign coordination.
  • Experience adapting retail media or shopper marketing plans across different channel dynamics, including C-Store, Club, Walmart, or new market launches.
  • Experience managing external agency, vendor, or retail partner relationships.
