Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create, identify and implement marketing strategies to meet current and emerging needs of the Maritime Division lines-of-business including Cruise, Fishing and Commercial Operations and Recreational Boating.
  • Identify emerging markets, new cruise lines, commercial/fishing and recreational boating moorage products and services to expand maritime business and retain existing customers, to serve the Port of Seattle's mission.
  • Provide comprehensive marketing and communication leadership for Maritime division business directors who are responsible for multiple competing initiatives at multiple Port facilities.
  • Manage and supervise Maritime Marketing staff and professional services consultant contracts.
  • Deliver marketing across multimedia platforms including print, visual (still & video) social, and website, across consumer and trade audiences for multiple business units.
  • Collaborate with business partners to solve business challenges and innovate solutions for increased revenue and guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage annual Maritime division marketing plans and related expense budgets.
  • Partner with internal and external destination marketing organizations and other stakeholders to leverage messaging and budgets by collaboratively partnering on efforts in support of business partners.
  • Conduct and/or participate in research related to customer insights, growth opportunities, regional economic benefits and utilize results to support business partners.

Requirements

  • Six (6) years of experience in cruise/maritime, marketing or business development.
  • Three (3) years of experience supervising staff and managing a marketing or business development program.

Preferred

  • Event planning experience.
  • Experience managing marketing campaigns for B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Experience using customer service programs to manage communications and support customer retention.
