Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Corporate Communications & Investor Relations is responsible for shaping how the organization communicates its strategy and value proposition across external and internal stakeholders. This individual works closely with the Head of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations to manage relationships and develop disclosures that both protect and enhance the organization's positioning across stakeholders, working in close partnership with the Director, Corporate Communications to ensure a unified voice across all audiences. The Senior Manager, Corporate Communications & Investor Relations is positioned to contribute to building the function from the ground up, balancing the discipline required for financial and investor communications with the operational rigor and tenacity needed to manage a fast-moving corporate reputation and program agenda.
Work Arrangement & Location:
Hybrid - This position follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring a minimum of two (2) days on-site per week — currently designated as Tuesday and Wednesday. Additional on-site days may be required based on business needs, team priorities, or leadership direction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Head of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations to develop and execute the company’s investor engagement and relationship management strategy, including managing investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows.
- Develop Board and corporate updates, presentations, and other communications, aligning with business development efforts.
- Manage select press releases, talking points, and Q&As related to financing activity and other corporate milestones, and serve as a point of contact for inquiries, in coordination with the broader Corporate Communications & Investor Relations team.
- Coordinate with Corporate Development, R&D, HR, Legal, Regulatory, Finance, and Executive Leadership to ensure all internal and external communications appropriately align with company strategy and disclosure practices.
- Actively track and analyze investor sentiment, competitive positioning, and industry/market developments, synthesizing insights to inform the company’s IR and communications strategy, and executive messaging.
- Help manage corporate social media, digital channels, and internal communications programs, to advance a robust omnichannel strategy.
- Serve as project manager for strategic operations and cross-functional program initiatives, developing and tracking project plans, timelines, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives on an as needed basis
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Communications, Business, Journalism, Public Relations, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minium of 5 years of progressive experience across investor relations and corporate communications, with additional experience in corporate strategy, finance, or a related field; in-house IR or financial communications experience at a public biopharmaceutical company strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate sourcing and consistency across materials.
- Skilled at translating complex business and financial information into clear external and internal messaging.
- Experience building relationships with investors and other external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.).
- Proficiency with IR website and content management systems, investor intelligence and targeting platforms (e.g., Nasdaq IR Insight, Bloomberg, FactSet).
- Ability to engage senior executives on communications strategy and messaging, including preparing the CEO, President & COO, and CMO for investor and media engagements.
- Sound judgment in high-pressure, time-sensitive, and reputationally sensitive situations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional projects independently.
- Discretion in handling confidential and investor-sensitive information.
- Strong collaborator across Corporate Development, Legal, Regulatory, Finance, R&D, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership
- Some travel required for conferences, investor events, and company meetings (estimated up to 20%).
Salary Range:
The expected salary range for this position varies by location and will be communicated based on the country or region in which the selected candidate is hired. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors permitted by applicable local law. A discretionary annual bonus and long-term incentive award (e.g., equity) may be available based on individual and Company performance.
