Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate communications strategy aligned with business priorities.
  • Build and protect the company’s reputation among patients, healthcare professionals, investors, employees, policymakers, and industry influencers.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to shape key corporate narratives and messaging.
  • Develop executive thought leadership platforms, speaking opportunities, bylined articles, and strategic communications.
  • Lead communications for significant corporate milestones, business announcements, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier business, healthcare, technology, and consumer media.
  • Develop proactive media strategies that generate high-impact earned media coverage.
  • Serve as the company’s communications lead for media inquiries and interview preparation.
  • Anticipate emerging issues and develop communications strategies that protect and enhance the company’s reputation.
  • Measure media impact and continuously optimize communications programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field and 15+ years of progressive communications experience, including significant experience in healthcare, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated industries.
  • 10+ years managerial experience
  • Advanced Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field and 13+ years of progressive communications experience, including significant experience in healthcare, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated industries.
  • 10+ years managerial experience

Preferred

  • Deep experience developing and executing media relations strategies with measurable business impact, supported by strong journalist relationships.
  • Trusted advisor to executive leadership and Boards of Directors, with exceptional executive presence and communication skills.
  • Proven leader in crisis and sensitive issue management, remaining calm and effective during high-visibility situations.
  • Strategic storyteller who translates complex topics into compelling narratives across traditional, digital, social, and integrated communications channels.
  • Equally comfortable developing long-term communications strategy and executing tactical initiatives.
  • Experience supporting product launches, corporate milestones, and communications for publicly traded companies and IPOs.
  • Experience leading communications teams and external agency partners.
  • Global communications experience across multiple markets.
  • Familiarity with FDA-regulated communications and healthcare policy.
  • Collaborative and influential leader who drives cross-functional alignment without direct authority.

  • Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$178,000.00 - $302,000.00 For roles   located   in California, Seattle WA, Washington DC, Boston MA, and New York City, the salary range is $198,000.00   - $336,000.00   USD.
  • Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location. Compensation and benefits information   pertains   solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
  • This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Short Term Incentive (STI).This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.
