Job Description

Designer – Parental Leave Coverage (8-Month Coverage)

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer to support Global Design and Branding during an 8-month parental leave coverage. This is a hands-on role focused on executing high-quality design within an established brand framework at a premier financial institution.

Reporting to the Managing Director, Head of U.S. Client & Marketing Strategy, you will primarily focus on day-to-day design execution while providing light oversight and guidance to one junior designer. You will also collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external agency partners to ensure consistency and quality across all creative outputs.

This is a production-focused role—you will spend the majority of your time creating marketing materials, while helping coordinate workflow, review outputs, and maintain alignment with brand standards.

We’re looking for a seasoned designer who is highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, comfortable operating independently, and able to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

What will you do? Your core responsibilities include:Design Execution (Primary Focus)
  • Design day-to-day marketing materials including advertisements, email and website graphics, social media posts (static and animated), single and multi-page documents, and promotional assets
  • Create branding assets for conferences, events, and sponsorships across print and digital formats, aligned with existing visual identity
  • Execute time-sensitive, multi-channel campaigns within established brand guidelines
  • Own the design process from concept through final production, including presenting work to stakeholders as needed
Design Coordination & Support
  • Provide guidance and feedback to a junior designer to ensure quality and consistency
  • Help prioritize and manage incoming design requests and workflow
  • Review design outputs for alignment with brand standards
Partnerships & Agency Collaboration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Digital, Social, Content, Events, Marketing) to understand project needs
  • Work with external creative agencies, providing input and feedback to ensure alignment with internal standards
  • Present design work and recommendations clearly to stakeholders
Brand Stewardship & Operations
  • Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all materials
  • Support design request intake and workflow management through Asana
  • Assist in coordinating agency work and managing project timelines
  • Apply accessibility best practices (e.g., color contrast, typography) to support WCAG compliance
What do you need to succeed?Must-Have Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of professional design experience, with experience at the senior designer level
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) with strong production capabilities
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating hands-on execution across a range of formats (email, social, events, print, digital marketing)
  • Experience working within established brand systems and guidelines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field
