Job Description

Role Overview
The Senior Designer is an integral member of the Fig Industries team who will encourage creativity
by being a collaborative and enthusiastic design professional. This self-motivated and dynamic individual
is responsible for the design of four issues of Fig each year and all associated collateral needed to support
the Fig brand as well as creative solutions for Fig Industries client work.

Primary Responsibilities for Fig Magazine

  • Design each issue of Fig magazine as well as all collateral associated with the brand
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Fig Magazine Managing Director on timelines, continual
    innovations, and creative solutions
  • Attend planning meetings and participate with ideas with a collaborative spirit
  • Lead all graphic and sourcing-related details on designated Fig magazine projects
    while maintaining budgeted hours through efficient time-keeping and tracking
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively on Fig magazine. This includes, but is not limited to,
    customer advertisements, cover concepts and execution, page design execution, customer changes,
    and proper file management
  • Collaborate on creative concepts, art direct photo shoots, utilize page layout skills, and work with
    the Managing Director to meet established production deadlines

Primary Responsibilities for Fig Industries

  • Communicate and collaborate with the Marketing Director and Founder on design solutions
  • Collaborate and develop concepts for Fig Industries branding and marketing projects such as logos,
     campaigns, collateral, and websites.
  • Attend client meetings, photo sessions, and press checks when needed for client projects.
  • Present design concepts to clients, engage with clients during the design process, and seek feedback
  • Take responsibility for all graphic and sourcing-related details on designated Fig Industries projects
    while maintaining budgeted hours through efficient time-keeping and tracking
  • Maintain skill set through continued education and research of new trends in the industry
  • Consistently impress our clients with creative design solutions, ensure profitability of design with
    effective time management and communication, and consistently seek development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or BFA in graphic design
  • 5-10 years of industry experience working in-house or in a creative agency with a
     heavy emphasis on layout and brand design.
  • Strong working knowledge and direct experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Exceptional page layout, branding, and web design experience
  • Strong knowledge of the Fig magazine product and passion for community
