Job Description

Conscious Minds is an independent creative agency that helps brands establish a more human connection between brands and their audiences. We have offices in Pasadena, CA, and Portland, OR, and offer a remote-first work environment to our employees. Our clients include Apple, Mars Petcare, Meta, Nike, Oakley, Starbucks, Uber Eats, Vans, Yahoo, and Zillow.

We’re a people-first work culture, big on community, trust, transparency, and respect for one another. We operate as an integrated team from Strategy through Production—and everything in between.

We are currently looking for a full-time Senior Creative.

Location: Los Angeles

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We're seeking a sharp, conceptually driven creative with a passion for culture and storytelling to join our team at Conscious Minds. This role is built for someone who thinks in ideas first — not mediums — and who's equally comfortable shaping a headline, a visual system, or a piece of content built for the feed.

The Senior Creative will flood each brainstorm and creative room with insight-led ideas, memorable hooks, and "what if"s that hold up across copy, art direction, and content. They challenge traditional advertising constraints. They know the best campaigns start on social, see insights in the comment section, and always have a link to a relevant creator or reference on standby. They love collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams to find creative solutions and make great work, and they think about brand and content holistically rather than through a single discipline lens.

The ideal candidate will excel at shaping brand voice and visual expression together, developing ideas with legs, and building strong internal and external relationships along the way.

The Senior Creative will report to the Associate Creative Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creative Development:

  • Concept and execute compelling ideas for integrated campaigns, including social media, digital activations, and brand content — thinking across copy, art direction, and content simultaneously rather than in a single lane.
  • Collaborate closely with Art Directors, Writers, Designers, and Content Creators to create cohesive, interdisciplinary work across platforms.
  • Help shape brand voice, visual tone, and content strategy, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.

Campaign Execution:

  • Develop scripts, brand narratives, visual concepts, and social content that resonate with target audiences and align with brand strategy.
  • Ideate and develop evergreen and campaign content ideas tailored to specific channels, considering how an idea should look, sound, and move — not just what it says.
  • Participate in brainstorms and incorporate feedback from cross-functional teams.

Client Engagement:

  • Present creative ideas to internal teams and clients with clarity and enthusiasm.
  • Collaborate with client partners and other agencies to ensure seamless integration across campaigns.

Trend Awareness:

  • Stay informed on cultural and platform trends, youth culture, and industry innovations.
  • Leverage insights to create forward-thinking and culturally relevant work.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of agency experience, with a portfolio showcasing live and spec work that demonstrates range across copy, art direction, and/or content creation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in advertising fundamentals, brand development, and storytelling.
  • Strong background in developing ideas for social media, creator campaigns, and brand stunts and activations — with an interdisciplinary point of view.
  • Skills:
  • Able to quickly develop dozens of napkin ideas and turn the best into one-pagers, thinking conceptually rather than in a single discipline.
  • Excellent social-first creative thinking with a knack for expressing ideas effectively in decks and meetings.
  • Strong eye for detail across both language and visual execution.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Keynote; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Capcut, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Mindset:
  • A self-starter who thrives on taking ideas from concept to execution, regardless of medium.
  • Highly collaborative, curious, and adaptable to feedback.
  • Passionate about cultural trends and emerging platforms, with a commitment to excellence.
  • Comfortable being a hybrid thinker — someone who doesn't default to "that's not my discipline."

We are one of the most personal, hands-on, and creative companies in this industry. We are extremely high touch with our partners, team members, and creatives to ensure clarity, community, and output exceed expectations. Above all, we want versatile people with unique and diverse points of view who add meaningful value to the DNA of Conscious Minds and the brands we work with. We look forward to the opportunity of having you on the squad, growing the influence and profile of our team.

  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)

We hold one core belief more deeply than any other. It’s the hill we will likely die on, the “Rosebud” whisper we’ll take to our grave. Here it is: Storytelling is the currency of human connection. Whether over coffee, around a campfire or depicted on a screen, stories captivate us, and can move us to change behavior or think differently. For brands, that means the only marketing messages that live more than a split second in the minds of consumers, are those shaped into emotionally-immersive stories. We are a band of story-crafting messengers, and we love what we do.
