Responsibilities

• Lead external communications and reputation management for Verda in the US, including strategy and hands-on execution as we scale
• Shape Verda's communications strategy in one of its key markets and the company's external narrative
• Work on media relations, executive visibility, announcements, and crisis communications, and build trusted relationships with external stakeholders
• Collaborate with Government Relations, Marketing, Operations and the wider Communications team to build positions, keep external messaging consistent and timely, and monitor coverage and industry conversation to spot opportunities and risks
• Work as part of the Global Communications team, and report to the Head of Communications

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in external communications, reputation management, media relations, corporate communications, or a related field
• Track record of building impactful communications strategies
• Ability to navigate complex technological, political and business topics and to build clear messaging that positions Verda in relevant conversations
• Experience working with media and journalists in the US market and building trusted relationships
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English

• Experience in a technology, cloud, AI, SaaS, or scale-up environment
• Experience building communications strategies and navigating complex issues
• Experience supporting executive and leadership communications
• Experience with media training and spokesperson preparation
• Experience managing crisis or issues communications
