Job Description
Executing accounting receivable functions. Ensuring timely preparations of reports and updates for billing, response to queries and liaising with internal and external customers.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc. Finance, Accounting, Pursuing ACCA Level 2 or its equivalent.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in the role.
- Experience in the use of SAGE 300.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in the use of computerized accounting systems.
- Keen eye for details
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Accuracy and meticulousness in performing duties.
- Excellent team player.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Must work to schedule and meet deadlines.
- Must be highly organized.
Accounts Billing:
- Liaising with internal customers regarding invoicing queries and completing customer rebates.
- Preparing monthly reconciliation of amounts billed.
- Run the fulfilled contract report and prepare journal entries for the year-end revenue recognition as per IFRS 15.
- Timely updates of receipts of the customer’s sub-ledger and GL Bank.
- Monitor GL accounts and prepare audit schedules for review.
- Preparation of Bad Debt provision as per IFRS 9.
- Monitor the timely posting of all transactions to ensure that VAT &/or GCT is duly recorded, and settlement dates are met.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
- Circulate to Sales & CCBU
- Update and maintain the Master Billing File
- Review incoming queries.
- Respond to queries within the specified timeline.
- Normal office environment. Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- May be required to work on weekends and or public holidays.
- Working long hours to complete time-sensitive projects.
