Job Summary

Lead a portfolio of technology accounts at a top NYC PR firm, directing day-to-day media strategy, mentoring junior staff, and shaping firm direction with senior leadership while expanding media relationships and client outcomes.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • provide experienced leadership on multiple client accounts and support our growing practice as a top PR firm in New York.
  • lead several client accounts by managing day-to-day communication, junior staff, and the development and execution of media strategy
  • secure client coverage by expertly engaging with the news media, and by systematically deepening and broadening a set of real media relationships
  • actively contribute to internal company discussions to shape the direction and trajectory of the firm
  • receive mentorship and interact closely with Senior Leadership on a daily basis
  • have the opportunity to develop strategies and drive forward exciting initiatives alongside our clients’ C-Suite
  • This is a traditional tech and business PR role with the opportunity to pinch-hit on new consumer media relations as well
  • Possess a team mentality, where they are willing to pull their weight on accounts outside of their responsibility and to proactively think about new ways to facilitate overall company growth
  • As this is a mid-level role, this candidate should also be comfortable leading junior team members and managing responsibilities accordingly.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or higher
  • 4-6 years of agency or in-house communications experience
  • Significant experience with technology public relations, account leadership, and high-level PR strategy
  • Demonstrated network of media relationships
