Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary day-to-day client contact, managing project workflows and ensuring timely and effective communication with clients
  • Play a hands-on role in developing and executing strategic PR plans, applying critical thinking and strategic insight to achieve client objectives
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, apprentices, and interns, fostering skill development and professional growth through constructive feedback and coaching
  • Oversee multiple client projects, working with internal teams, agency resources, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
  • Participate actively in client meetings, both virtual and in-person, contributing to strategic discussions and building rapport with clients
  • Research, write, and edit press materials and content for patient communities, ensuring messages align with client and campaign goals
  • Conduct media relations to secure positive coverage, integrating client messages and positioning
  • Lead or support the development of social and digital media content, tracking industry trends to ensure relevance
  • Manage project timelines, workflow, and team collaboration, adjusting priorities to meet client and agency needs
  • Conduct monthly account reporting in partnership with finance, tracking key performance indicators and communicating results to clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Public Relations, Communications or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of public relations experience, preferably in healthcare or pharma.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Strong writing, research, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively address complex healthcare topic
  • Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking abilities, with experience in client-facing roles
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail capable of handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong mentoring abilities can guide junior staff and contribute to their professional development
  • Adaptable and able to adjust priorities quickly based on evolving client and agency needs
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including FDA and HIPAA, is a plus
