Own the organic search strategy and AI-driven SEO initiatives, aligning cross-functional teams to drive discovery, engagement, and revenue.

  • Own the SEO and AEO roadmap across traditional and AI-enabled search channels
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to translate data into business impact

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build a Holistic Search Strategy: Work alongside Manager of Growth Marketing to integrate organic visibility with paid SEM performance in order to optimize capital allocation. Focus on reducing paid spend on high-authority brand terms to reinvest in competitive non-brand gaps, as well as faster PPC-to-SEO testing.
  • Drive the SEO/AEO Strategic Roadmap: Operationalize the measurement of AI discovery, executing strategies to gain a competitive advantage in both traditional "blue link" results and LLMs. Serve as the lead strategist for unifying traditional content generation with "Model Training" dominance for LLMs.
  • Foundational SEO Excellence: Oversee global content architecture, including localization, internal linking strategies, metadata optimization, and schema markup. Partner with technical and engineering teams to ensure all web properties are structured for maximum crawlability and visibility.
  • AI-First Tooling: Proven experience driving an "AI-first" approach to SEO/AEO operations, including the development or implementation of Model Context Protocols (MCPs) to bridge data silos between enterprise repositories and LLMs for faster decision making and execution.
  • End-to-End Content Operations: Support the strategic planning of the web content calendar in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Product Marketing and Web Content. Ensure content delivered is 100% optimized for discovery, as well as high-value business actions such as engagement, visits, and sign ups.
  • Strategic Business Impact: Serve as the organic search subject matter expert for the SurveyMonkey brand, translating SEO performance into bottom-line business value by aligning strategies with high-intent customer segments and revenue targets.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the primary strategic point of contact for SurveyMonkey SEO/AEO content health, working across Product, Data Engineering, and Marketing to diagnose competitive gaps and act with speed through peak periods.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience in SEO, Content Strategy, or Digital Product Management within a large-scale, high-growth organization, with 1-2 years of people management.
  • Analytics & Visualization: Proficiency in translating complex data into actionable narratives by building custom dashboards and pulling deep insights from tools such as Tableau and Amplitude.
  • Expertise in the "New Search" Stack: Deep understanding of AEO vs. SEO, specifically how LLMs parse "Information Gain," entity relationships, and sentiment.
  • Multi-Media Content Mastery: Proven track record of managing and optimizing content across various formats for search rankings and user engagement.
  • CMS & Technical Proficiency: Strong experience managing content publication within an enterprise CMS and utilizing SEO research tools (Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or similar).
  • Strategic Influence: Ability to translate complex "Agentic" or AI behavioral shifts into clear business strategies and influence senior leadership.
  • High Ownership: A self-starter who can move from reactive answering to proactive education, and drive a competitive advantage in a rapidly shifting landscape.
