What we’re looking for

A highly organized, commercially minded Business Development Manager to support the strategic growth of Infinite’s client base. Reporting to the SVP, Business Development, this role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution: keeping proposals moving, intelligence flowing, and pipeline data accurate while playing an active part in pursuit strategy across the firm’s core sectors. Ideal candidates will bring three to five years’ experience in a business development, BD operations, or closely related function, ideally at a PR or communications agency, law firm, professional services organization, or large consulting firm. This is a role for a proactive operator who takes pride in making a high-performing team more effective and who finds the operational side of business development just as interesting as the strategic side.

What you’d do

A Resource Manager to bring structure, visibility and discipline to how we plan, allocate and optimize talent across client work, projects, pitches and internal priorities. This role is central to ensuring that the right people are aligned to the right work at the right time, balancing capacity, capability, availability, development needs and commercial considerations.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will act as a central point of coordination between client teams, project leads, operations, finance and HR. You will provide clear visibility of workload and future demand, identify pressure points early, and support better decision-making around staffing, hiring, utilization and workload distribution.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, commercially aware and collaborative operations professionals with experience in resource management, project management, traffic management or workforce planning, ideally within an agency, consultancy, professional services or other fast-paced client-service environment. You should be comfortable working with senior stakeholders, managing competing priorities and using data to support practical, balanced and commercially sound recommendations.

What you’d do

Resource planning and allocation

• Manage the day-to-day allocation of staff across client accounts, projects, pitches and internal workstreams.
• Match people to work based on skills, experience, availability, development needs, client requirements and budget considerations.
• Maintain a clear view of current and upcoming demand, identifying where additional capacity, reallocation or prioritization is required.
• Support project and account leads in planning resourcing requirements for new work, scope changes and urgent requests.
• Coordinate freelance, temporary or project-based support where required.

Forecasting, reporting and commercial insight

• Develop and maintain accurate capacity plans, utilization reports and forward-looking resource forecasts.
• Identify over-utilization, under-utilization, skills gaps and potential delivery risks early, escalating recommendations as appropriate.
• Work with finance and operations to understand the commercial impact of resource decisions, including profitability, freelance spend and staffing costs.
• Provide regular reporting to leadership on utilization, availability, demand trends and resourcing risks.

Stakeholder partnership

• Build strong working relationships with senior leadership, team leads, account leads, project managers, HR and finance.
• Facilitate regular resourcing meetings to review priorities, resolve conflicts and agree allocation decisions.
• Act as a neutral and objective partner when balancing competing demands across teams and clients.
• Communicate resourcing decisions clearly, diplomatically and with appropriate commercial and operational rationale.

Process and systems

• Own and maintain resource management tools, trackers and processes, ensuring data is accurate, current and useful.
• Improve visibility of skills, availability, workload and project demand across the business.
• Recommend improvements to resourcing processes, meeting rhythms, reporting and governance.
• Participate in initiatives that further Infinite’s vision and values among both internal and external audiences.
• Commit to continuous learning and improvement of professional skills.

• You have strong relationship-management skills, with the ability to build trust across teams and handle sensitive allocation conversations with diplomacy.
• You bring operational discipline, including maintaining accurate data, clear processes and consistent reporting.
• You take a proactive approach to anticipating resourcing challenges and addressing issues before they affect delivery.
• You bring adaptability and composure when priorities shift or urgent requests arise.

The current annual base salary range for this position is $85,000-$100,000. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of Infinite's total compensation package for employees.
