The other 99% submit and hope. You're about to do something different.
TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of Kansas is hiring a Referral Relationship & Marketing Coordinator to help grow our specialty practice through professional referral relationships, community outreach, marketing support, and careful tracking of new patient sources.
This is primarily an outreach and relationship-building role. The main focus is building trust with dental, medical, orthodontic, chiropractic, ENT, pediatric, school, and community referral sources. This person will also help support marketing efforts such as social media coordination, email campaigns, educational outreach, event promotion, and campaign tracking.
This is not a clerical referral-processing position and not a fully remote digital marketing role. The right person must be comfortable walking into professional offices, starting conversations, following up consistently, and representing a specialized healthcare practice with professionalism and credibility.
Our practice focuses on TMJ disorders, jaw pain, headaches, migraines, facial pain, sleep-related breathing disorders, airway concerns, and complex patients who often have not found answers elsewhere. Many professionals encounter patients who may benefit from our care, but they may not fully understand when or how to refer. This role helps bridge that gap.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit dental, medical, orthodontic, chiropractic, ENT, pediatric, school, and community offices
- Introduce the practice in a clear and professional way
- Explain what types of patients may be appropriate to refer
- Build relationships with doctors, office managers, hygienists, assistants, front desk teams, and community contacts
- Follow up consistently after visits, calls, referrals, meetings, and events
- Help identify warm, cold, inactive, confused, or strong referral sources
- Support lunch-and-learns, educational meetings, school/community outreach, and events
- Assist with basic marketing tasks such as social media, email campaigns, event promotion, and campaign tracking
- Track referral-source activity, campaign sources, follow-up steps, and new patient source information
- Communicate referral and marketing feedback to the internal team
Who Will Do Well
This role is a good fit for someone who is professional, organized, confident, and persistent without being pushy. The right person should be comfortable starting conversations with people they do not know, hearing “no” without taking it personally, and following up consistently.
You do not need to be a clinician or a full marketing strategist. However, you must be willing to learn how to explain TMJ, sleep, airway, headaches, jaw pain, and our services in a clear and appropriate way.
This role requires independence, strong communication, accurate documentation, and the ability to stay accountable to goals and follow-up expectations.
Requirements
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Comfortable visiting offices and initiating conversations
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently outside the office
- Ability to document outreach, follow-up, campaign activity, and referral-source notes accurately
- Willingness to learn about TMJ, sleep, airway, headaches, jaw problems, and the patients our practice helps
- Ability to represent the practice accurately without giving clinical advice
Preferred Experience
- Healthcare, dental, orthodontic, medical, sales, outreach, marketing, or business development experience
- Experience building professional relationships or calling on offices
- Experience with social media, email campaigns, event promotion, or community outreach
- Familiarity with dental or medical terminology
- Experience using a CRM, spreadsheet, tracker, or marketing calendar
Compensation
Annualized base compensation is approximately $55,000–$65,000, depending on experience, paid hourly/non-exempt.
Additional compensation may include mileage reimbursement, eligibility for the company-wide bonus plan after the training/eligibility period, and eligibility for a separate referral and growth performance bonus after the training/eligibility period.
Schedule
This is a full-time hybrid/mobile position. Normal office hours are generally Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. Most work will occur during normal business hours, but occasional flexibility may be needed for referral meetings, community events, outreach, campaigns, or training.
This is not a fully remote position. The person in this role must be local, available for in-person training and meetings, and comfortable regularly visiting professional offices and community contacts.
