Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Reel Editor role based in the United States. The Reel Editor will be responsible for editing short-form vertical videos for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, using provided footage and brand guidelines. Daily tasks include selecting and organizing clips, adding text overlays, transitions, and effects, syncing audio and music, and optimizing pacing and hooks for audience retention. The role involves collaborating closely with social media strategists, designers, and content creators to translate briefs into engaging, on-brand video content. The Reel Editor will also adapt content for multiple platforms, maintain consistent style across campaigns, and stay current with short-form video trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong short-form video editing skills with experience in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar editing software.
• Ability to design and implement engaging hooks, text overlays, captions, transitions, and sound design tailored to Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Understanding of social media content best practices, including platform-specific formats, trends, and basic analytics to inform edits.
• Experience collaborating with creative and marketing teams, interpreting briefs, and incorporating feedback efficiently.
• Strong visual storytelling, timing, and sense of aesthetics, with attention to detail and consistency across multiple videos.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
• Portfolio or showreel demonstrating short-form video work; prior agency or brand experience is a plus.
• Preferred: familiarity with basic motion graphics, color correction, and audio cleanup; interest in creative digital marketing and brand building.
