Job Description

The Recurring Services Manager is responsible for managing the control of recurring service costs and frequency of service to properties and ensure department goals drive sustainable development and long-term success.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with AMH Development leadership teams nationwide to coordinate service responsibilities for Community Amenities, including service transition dates.
  • Establish partnerships with vendors and provide direction to business processes, setting expectations for servicing communities.
  • Coordinate and monitor both team and vendor activities to evaluate needs, determine department workflow, and set vendor performance expectations.
  • Manage the development of assigned recurring service offers, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget, in accordance with AMH process requirements, and monitor service frequency.
  • Resolve operational issues, periodically assess program performance, and apply change, risk, and resource management.
  • Identify operational efficiencies and partner with IT to improve workflows and processes, automating where necessary.
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams to determine best practices related to rollouts and services offered.
  • Understand the market for the recurring services portfolio, including size, segments, local needs and objectives, competitive offerings, strengths/weaknesses, and industry trends.
  • Liaise with the legal team and vendors to review and provide operational recommendations regarding contracts for community services.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in business management with a comprehensive knowledge of costs and related services preferred.
  • Experience in vendor performance expectations and pricing negotiation preferred.
  • Experience in business management of similar service industry roles with a comprehensive knowledge of service costs preferred.
  • Basic Microsoft Office PC skills required.
  • Experience with Yardi, CRM, or other Case Management systems preferred.
  • Experience in service evaluation and pricing negotiation preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivation and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce consistent quality under deadline pressure while paying careful attention to detail.
  • Strong staffing, development, and appraisal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate quantitative skills.

Compensation

The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $71,545.00 to $89,448.00 Annually. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.

Additional Compensation

This position is eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus.
