Responsibilities

• Produces strategic goals and objectives for the financial performance of the organization’s public relations operations.
• Manages the financial aspects of the public information budget including review of financial statements, performance and purchasing.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities at events including scheduling, positioning, set up and tear down.
• Creates templates for all communication press releases for all entities of the Tribe to present to the Sr. Director of Organizational Communication for approval.
• Participates in civic groups to gather information to seek support of these groups in charitable activities on behalf of the Tribe.
• Produces scripts for television, radio and social media advertising.
• Produces social medical posts for events, upcoming activities and updates.
• Monitors, listens and responds to the Redding Rancheria’s social media accounts and offers constructive interaction with users.
• Responsible for setting up all special events and publicity functions for all entities of the Tribe.
• Works closely with the Sr. Director of Organizational Communication to develop social media campaigns and day-to-day activities to create awareness.

Requirements

• A High School diploma, or the equivalent
• A valid California driver’s license and current insurance is required
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Indian preference.

Preferred

• Experience in giving presentations to informal and formal groups in a variety of settings and atmospheres is preferred
