Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support Media Strategy & Outreach
  • Support efforts to secure top-tier media interviews for executive spokespeople
  • Identify story angles, draft and refine media pitches, and conduct outreach aligned with report insights and timely news hooks
  • Execute targeted media outreach to national, local, faith-based, philanthropy, and multicultural media outlets
  • Update and maintain media list, identifying new opportunities across broadcast, podcast, and online outlets
  • Conduct proactive follow-up with priority journalists and outlets to maximize coverage
  • Reinforce Thought Leadership & Executive Visibility
  • Support outreach to secure speaking opportunities at conferences
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to place op-eds and/ or bylined articles that highlight insights from the Giving in Faith report
  • Coordinate Logistics and Ensure Readiness

Requirements

  • 7+ years of PR or media relations experience
  • Demonstrated success securing coverage in top-tier national, faith-based, nonprofit, or philanthropy media – strong portfolio of placements
  • Ability to craft compelling media angles and storylines from research findings and trend data
  • Self-starter who understands news hooks and is proactive about uncovering meaningful stories
  • Experience coordinating executive media opportunities and speaking engagements
  • Excellent writing, pitching, and relationship-building skills

Preferred

  • Established media contacts/ strong relationships with national, trend, religion, nonprofit, philanthropy, or culture reporters
