Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support public relations and communications campaigns for PRetz clients
  • Research journalists, media outlets, organizations, and relevant news opportunities
  • Build and maintain targeted media contact lists
  • Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, talking points, client updates, and social media content
  • Communicate with journalists and follow up on media pitches
  • Monitor Israeli, American, and Jewish media for relevant developments and opportunities
  • Coordinate interviews, media requests, meetings, events, and campaign materials
  • Help prepare client reports and track media coverage
  • Translate and adapt communications materials between Hebrew and English
  • Support the day-to-day management of client accounts and internal projects

Requirements

  • Professional fluency in written and spoken Hebrew and English
  • Strong writing, editing, research, and organizational skills
  • Genuine interest in journalism, public relations, current affairs, and Jewish and Israeli issues
  • Ability to identify compelling stories and understand what makes an issue newsworthy
  • Professional, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage several assignments and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with clients and members of the media
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communications
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, political science, marketing, or a related field
  • Previous experience or internships in public relations, journalism, communications, advocacy, nonprofit organizations, government, or related fields
  • Familiarity with Israeli, American, or Jewish media
  • Experience writing professional content in both Hebrew and English
  • Familiarity with media databases, design platforms, AI tools, or media-monitoring systems
  • Recent graduates and early-career candidates with strong writing skills and relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
