Job Summary

Own the college intern PR program by turning milestones and thought leadership into media opportunities, while keeping agendas and outreach on track.

  • Pitch management: drive routine media angles and track outreach by outlet.
  • Calendar and intake: own milestones, events, and speaking calendars with drafts routed for leadership review.
  • Research and submissions: surface opportunities at industry events and draft applications for submission.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Pitch story angles to journalists and outlets on a routine basis.
  • Track pitch status, follow-ups, and outreach activity by outlet.
  • Monitor press and reporter opportunities for angles worth pitching.
  • Draft and format release copy for milestone announcements.
  • Route drafts to a marketing lead for review before distribution.
  • Maintain a running calendar of company milestones for reference.
  • Research industry events and publications where thought leadership content applies.
  • Build and maintain a content and speaking calendar.
  • Draft applications for submission.
  • Research upcoming industry events and conferences relevant to the company.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled as a student, or a recent graduate.
  • Major in public relations, communications, marketing, media studies, journalism.

  • Use of AI tools inside a real marketing workflow
