POSITION: PT Head Baseball Coach

LOCATION: Devils Lake, ND

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Part-time, non-benefitted.

JOB SUMMARY: Plan and direct a successful and winning Men’s Baseball program through effective recruitment, a commitment to training and conditioning, and planning for a high level of performance by student athletes; abide by the rules and regulations established by Lake Region State College, the state of North Dakota, and the National Junior College Athletic Association; direct and supervise assistant coaches; work collegially with faculty, staff, and administration to ensure student athletes maintain high levels of academic performance and degree completion; monitor academic progress and status of team members, implementing action plans when needed; promote the athletic program through community events, public service, fundraising and marketing; willingness and commitment to fundraise to help not only the hockey program, but the athletic department as a whole; manage a fiscally sound budget based on fundraising and careful oversight of institutional resources.

This Head Coach position is a part-time appointment. Depending on the successful candidate's qualifications and the needs of LRSC, there may be an opportunity to combine the coaching assignment with a separate part-time campus position in either a staff or faculty role. Such a combination may result in an expanded employment opportunity.

SALARY: $12,000 per season.
