About Promofect

We're a promotional products and decorated apparel company with our own in-house screen printing and embroidery facility in Mahwah, NJ. We work with corporate teams, schools, first responders, and small businesses, helping them put their brand on everything from custom apparel to full online merchandise stores.

The Opportunity

We're looking for someone who already knows this industry. If you've worked in promotional products, decorated apparel, screen printing, or embroidery and you understand the products, the vendors, the decoration methods, and what it takes to keep customers coming back, we want to talk to you.

This is a customer-facing role. Most of your day will be spent working directly with clients: fielding calls, building quotes, recommending the right products and decoration methods, following up on orders, and making sure every job is handled from start to finish. You'll also support our marketing team with content that speaks to the industry we're in.

This is a small team that moves fast. We have production running in-house, so you'll be close to the work and close to the customer. If you've been in a big distributor or a shop and want to be somewhere your knowledge and ideas actually matter, this is the place.

What You'll Be Doing

- Managing inbound customer communication across phone, email, and walk-ins

- Building quotes and recommending products, garments, and decoration methods based on customer needs

- Following up on open orders, samples, art approvals, and production timelines

- Growing and maintaining customer accounts over time

- Taking initiative on outbound sales opportunities

- Coordinating with the production team on screen printing and embroidery jobs

- Supporting social media and marketing efforts with industry-relevant content

- Working within our systems: Printavo, HubSpot, Chipply, Inksoft

- Stepping in wherever needed as the business grows

What We're Looking For

- 2+ years of experience in promotional products, decorated apparel, screen printing, embroidery, or a related area of the industry

- Understands product catalogs, blank garment sourcing, decoration methods, and supplier relationships

- Strong customer service and communication skills, both on the phone and in writing

- Experience building quotes or processing orders in the promo or apparel space

- Resourceful and self-directed. You don't wait to be told what to do

- Comfortable learning new tools and technology quickly

- Familiarity with Printavo, SanMar, S&S, alphabroder, or similar platforms is a big plus

- Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude is a plus

- Must be available to work full-time, in-office in Mahwah, NJ
