Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design lead for marketing materials across print and digital, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Serve as key production designer for WAC Magazine and recurring print pieces with focus on layout, typography, and consistency.
  • Execute layouts, resize assets, prepare files for print and digital output, and ensure quality control.
  • Support design projects from concept through completion, articulating design decisions and incorporating feedback.
  • Take on frequent, smaller production-oriented projects and turn them around efficiently with polish.
  • Organize, archive, and manage design assets; edit, crop, and prepare images for media formats.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, journalism, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–6 years of professional design/production experience, preferably in-house marketing/communications.
  • Strong portfolio showing print and digital design, including multi-page layouts and editorial design.
  • Experience with publication and press requirements; advanced proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
  • Strong typography, layout, grid systems, image selection, and color understanding.
  • Ability to design within brand guidelines while contributing creative solutions.
  • Writing skills with attention to detail; excellent organizational and multi-project management skills.
  • Comfortable receiving direction/feedback and collaborating effectively; clear communicator.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and WordPress.

  • Photography experience
  • Illustration skills
  • Basic HTML/CSS is a plus
