Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Product Marketing Specialist develops and executes product marketing strategies that support market adoption and growth for M.C. Dean products, services, and technical solutions across the Security & Electronic Systems strategic business unit. This role translates complex engineering, technology, and operational capabilities into customer-centered positioning, go-to-market plans, launch programs, sales enablement, and campaign content. Working across Product Management, Engineering, R&D, Business Development, Marketing & Communications, and field teams, the specialist connects customer and market insights to product strategy, development priorities, and commercial execution.
  • Market Intelligence & Product Strategy
  • - Develop strategic marketing plans for assigned products or product lines using primary and secondary market research, competitive analysis, pricing insights, customer engagement, and business planning to identify target segments, buyer needs, market dynamics, and growth opportunities.
  • - Maintain buyer personas, ideal customer profiles (ICPs), buying-process insights, customer pain points, and competitive intelligence for assigned solutions.
  • - Synthesize customer feedback, win/loss insights, and voice-of-customer input to inform positioning, go-to-market plans, and product-line roadmaps that drive adoption and differentiation.
  • Product Development and Customer Advocacy
  • - Serve as Marketing’s primary advocate on cross-functional development teams, translating customer feedback and use cases into product requirements and partnering with Product Management, Engineering, and R&D to shape new features and functionality.
  • - Identifies areas for growth and creates strategic product line roadmaps to help drive adoption of the product and differentiating features.
  • - Lead cross-functional resolution of customer satisfaction issues and incorporate lessons learned into product and go-to-market plans.
  • Positioning, Messaging, and Content

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, B2B marketing, sales enablement, product management support, market research, or a related role.
  • Ability to understand technical products, services, or solutions and translate them into clear customer-facing value propositions.
  • Strong writing, editing, presentation, and project coordination skills.
  • Experience developing marketing collateral, sales enablement tools, campaign content, or launch materials.
  • Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Working knowledge of market research, competitive analysis, buyer personas, ICP development, customer journey mapping, and go-to-market planning.

Preferred

  • Experience in security, technology, critical infrastructure, systems integration, government, defense, construction, or complex B2B services.
  • Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, account-based marketing, analytics, content management, or sales enablement platforms.
  • Experience supporting voice-of-customer programs, win/loss analysis, product launches, or partner/channel marketing.
  • Ability to work with AI-enabled tools for research, content development, workflow automation, testing, or personalization.
