Job Summary
Own global PR and media strategy for luxury-focused MMGO, coordinating partnerships and high-profile media/celebrity outreach while managing government relations and crisis communications.
- Build and manage global media relations with brands, journalists, and influencers.
- Own storytelling, messaging, and crisis comms across channels to protect and elevate reputation.
- Monitor media KPIs and clip coverage to drive strategy improvements with leadership alignment.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Attracting and securing partnerships worldwide
- Managing contact with top tier-brands, celebrities and agencies
- Media outreach by identifying relevant media partners, journalists, and influencers and proactively reach out to them to share stories and news related to Magnea and MMGO
- Securing high-level communication with governments, councils, committees and organizations
- Crafting compelling storytelling, scripts, press releases, communication kits and support MMGO through all communication channels in order to highlight the organization’s key messages and events
- Specialist pitching story ideas to journalists, aiming to secure positive media coverage and increase the organization’s visibility
- Crisis management, steeping in to manage the situation, communicate with the media, and protect the organization’s reputation
- Continuously monitor media coverage (clipping)
- Monitoring and analyzing the main communication-related KPIs to identify areas for improvement and optimize the strategy accordingly
- Working closely with the organization’s leadership (reporting to the marketing manager) to develop key messages and talking points that align with the organization’s goals
- Bachelor´s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field (mandatory)
- MBA, Post degree or Master degree
- 5+ years of professional experience dealing or working at US media agencies
- 5+ years of working experience as a senior PR and/or communication specialist
- Work experience in luxury and dealing with HNWIs
- Experience dealing with US governments, international councils, chambers of commerce and committees is a strong plus
- Exceptional communication skills in English (C1, C2 or native)
- Research and benchmarking expertise
- High-level of writing, creativity and innovation
- Dynamic, proactive, and results-driven mindset
- Availability to travel worldwide when required (up to 25%)
- Preferably, based in the US
- Experience dealing with US governments, international councils, chambers of commerce and committees is a strong plus
- Communication skills in French, Italian and Spanish is a plus
- Background as a journalist is a plus
- Digital, tech and AI savy
