Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Engage with community members through door-to-door canvassing, delivering clear and compelling messages about political campaigns or initiatives
  • Conduct face-to-face conversations to inform voters about upcoming elections, policies, or community programs
  • Utilize mobile devices to record interactions, update voter databases, and track outreach progress efficiently
  • Promote community engagement by organizing and participating in local events or neighborhood activities
  • Employ negotiation and conversational engagement skills to address questions, concerns, or objections from residents
  • Assist in fundraising efforts by encouraging support and contributions from community members
  • Maintain a professional appearance while working outdoors in various weather conditions, walking neighborhoods to maximize outreach

Requirements

  • Previous field sales or canvassing experience preferred; strong background in door-to-door outreach is a plus
  • Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
  • Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to connect with a broader range of community members
  • Experience in marketing, telemarketing, or community engagement enhances your effectiveness in this role
  • Comfortable walking extensively outdoors and working independently in various environments
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate, persuade, and build rapport quickly with strangers
