Responsibilities

Engage with community members through door-to-door canvassing, delivering clear and compelling messages about political campaigns or initiatives
Conduct face-to-face conversations to inform voters about upcoming elections, policies, or community programs
Utilize mobile devices to record interactions, update voter databases, and track outreach progress efficiently
Promote community engagement by organizing and participating in local events or neighborhood activities
Employ negotiation and conversational engagement skills to address questions, concerns, or objections from residents
Assist in fundraising efforts by encouraging support and contributions from community members
Maintain a professional appearance while working outdoors in various weather conditions, walking neighborhoods to maximize outreach

Requirements

Previous field sales or canvassing experience preferred; strong background in door-to-door outreach is a plus
Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to connect with a broader range of community members
Experience in marketing, telemarketing, or community engagement enhances your effectiveness in this role
Comfortable walking extensively outdoors and working independently in various environments
Demonstrated ability to negotiate, persuade, and build rapport quickly with strangers
