Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Write and refine ad copy for Meta, Google Ads, and programmatic platforms, tailored to nonprofit audiences and campaign objectives.
  • Collaborate with Mutiny to align creative strategy, messaging, and performance insights across clients
  • Develop and iterate on headlines, descriptions, CTAs, and landing page copy that reflect each organization’s voice and goals
  • Review performance metrics and A/B test results to optimize copy for click-through and conversion
  • Translate complex nonprofit language into accessible, action-oriented messaging
  • Manage multiple client deliverables and timelines, ensuring consistency and quality across campaigns
  • Participate in creative reviews, strategy sessions, and performance debriefs with agency and internal teams

Requirements

  • 3+ years of copywriting experience in digital advertising, with nonprofit or mission-driven clients and strong portfolio of ad copy across Meta, Google Ads, and programmatic platforms
  • Deep understanding of performance marketing principles and audience targeting
  • Experience collaborating with creative agencies or external partners
  • Ability to synthesize data and feedback into actionable copy improvements
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities

  • Time Management: The ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and juggle multiple client deliverables efficiently. This includes planning ahead, anticipating bottlenecks, and maintaining quality under tight timelines.
  • Creativity: The capacity to generate original, compelling ideas and translate complex nonprofit missions into engaging ad copy. Creativity here also includes adaptability—shaping messaging to fit different platforms, audiences, and campaign goals.
  • Collaboration: Skill in working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners (like Mutiny) to align messaging, share feedback, and co-create solutions. This includes active listening, clear communication, and a team-first mindset.
  • Strategic Thinking: The ability to connect copywriting decisions to broader campaign objectives, audience insights, and performance data. Strategic thinkers anticipate impact, test messaging hypotheses, and refine language to drive results
