Own national media relations and social engagement for Samaritan's Purse, driving traditional and digital coverage, interviews, and partner assets, while building reports and coaching volunteers.

Job Description
Responsibilities
- Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
- Provide traditional media pitching and generate media coverage through digital, print, television, and radio outlets across the nation
- Secure media interviews for OCC Speakers, volunteers, and staff, as well as provide media contacts and interviewees with scheduling details, training, key resources, and messaging points
- Provide social media monitoring and correspondence across all social channels. Additionally, this role will respond to and engage with social media comments and direct messages using the approved response guidelines and messaging
- Coordinate requests for media assets, deliverables, and invoicing for partners
- Organize and maintain media database, including media lists, data/reports, budgets, and production requests
- Develop, monitor, and provide media coverage reports as well as assists with end-of-year data requests as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree(B.A) from a four-year college or university; and one(1) to two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to make cold calls, writing and proofread content, and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style
- Experience with managing or using social media platforms, including Instagram, X, and Facebook
- Ability to coach and train volunteers and staff to speak confidently and effectively with media outlets
- 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
