Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Set strategy for video production needs to enhance the digital presence of the college; write, review, and approve all scripts, select soundbites, and review/approve edits for video production.
  • Arrange and direct photo shoots.
  • Lead the creation of storyboards and scripts for video production.
  • Manage and produce high quality and impactful video projects for internal and external use (presentations, website, social media and events).
  • Lead and manage post-production work including editing captioning and branding.
  • Produce compelling photography to enhance written content, website and social media to extend visual brand identity.
  • Attend college events/meetings to capture images/videos for marketing use.
  • Manage digital video/photo assets to support video production and content creation, including stories, web and social media.
  • Enhance photographs and digital imagery to create high visual impact as well as produce artistic and infographic elements.
  • Maintain video/photography production equipment and associated software inventory, including providing budget estimates for higher-level equipment purchases, repairs, or maintenance needs; performing preventative maintenance on equipment; and maintaining video file records.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s in film/video production, graphic design, marketing, communications, or related field

Preferred

  • Preferred Qualifications Experience: Minimum of three-five years of experience in videography, graphic design, communications, marketing, or public relations settings. Experience with multimedia communications at an institution of higher education, government agency, or company is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Advanced knowledge of shooting video in various settings Advanced knowledge of editing video and audio recordings and adjusting them in post-production Ability to follow technical requirements, accessibility guidelines and best practices in the creation of multimedia content for websites and social media Excellent skills operating computer, photography and video equipment including cameras and recording devices
