Job Description

Business Development:
- Maintains professional presence with centers of influence and members of referral communities, i.e. realtors, builders, non-profit housing organizations, attorneys, appraisers, and bank colleagues
- Maintains and monitors pipeline reports to ensure volume and quality are consistent with the Bank's goals and objectives, policies and procedures
- Develops leads on potential loan sources for business development and loan solicitation purposes
- Stays abreast of trends and developments in the local real estate market and competitive environment, as well as changes in rules and regulations

Production Requirements & Cross Selling:
- Responsible for cross-promotion of all Bankers Trust products and services (including, but not limited to, Retail Banking products)
- Maintains minimum production for mortgage loan originations in accordance with Smart Goals
- Promotes and delivers quality internal and external customer service
- Obtains, verifies and completes required information and documentation necessary for compliance and processing of loan applications

Collaboration with Team Members:
- Collaborates with colleagues to assure excellence in products and services
- Monitors overall customer interaction and interfaces with all parties involved on each individual loan from application to closing. This includes, but is not limited to, credit counseling to and pre-qualifying potential home buyers
- Obtains applications and then partners with processors to ensure complete and compliant loan packages

Marketing:
- Assists in formalizing and implementing sales strategies and marketing approaches
- Responsible for expanding referral networks through marketing and prospecting activities
- Performs other duties as assigned

Mortgage Loan Originator II
- College Degree preferred or high school diploma/GED with equivalent experience
- At least four years of previous mortgage lending experience preferred
- Previous book of business over the past three years required
- Active NMLS in good standing without previous actions on record

Mortgage Loan Originator III
- College Degree preferred or high school diploma/GED with equivalent experience
- At least six years of previous mortgage lending experience required
- Previous book of business over the past three years required
- Active NMLS in good standing without previous regulatory actions on record is required
- Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, Rural Development and jumbo guidelines and general underwriting policies and guidelines for all investors and agencies
- Knowledge of all Federal and State mortgage regulations, including but not limited to, HMDA, TRID, Reg B, Reg C, Reg Z, and RESPA
