Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Implements membership strategies that support recruitment of new members and retention of existing members.
  • Creates a member-focused culture and models relationship-building skills in all interactions.
  • Fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed.
  • Reviews and evaluates staff performance.
  • Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
  • Promotes program and membership enrollment in interactions with existing and potential members.
  • Coordinates program registration, including logistics to support phone, walk-in and web registration.
  • Coordinates with marketing efforts to maximize enrollments and provides ongoing support to Program Directors on related issues.
  • Participates in the planning of the annual Membership budget; manages and implements the approved budget for membership and takes appropriate action to correct variances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and interest and count money.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in written or diagram form and interpret a variety of reports.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to resolve conflict between staff members and with members.
  • Ability to resolve member concerns.
