Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and implement Public Relations strategies that advance our business themes. Track, measure and communicate results.
  • Achieve high visibility in key trade and top-tier media for our investment themes, products and thought leadership, including pitching research and executing press events to promote insights with reporters.
  • Identify and execute earned media opportunities that support the growth and visibility of U.S. Funds, U.S. ETFs and Multi-Asset businesses, aligning to key themes and products launched, the Guide to ETFs and Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions.
  • Collaborate with spokespeople to develop bylines and messaging for interviews.
  • Build and maintain relationships with asset management, investment and ETF beat reporters.
  • Monitor, analyze and socialize coverage internally.
  • Partner with social media team to amplify earned coverage and extend reach across channels.
  • Represent Asset Management PR in internal business meetings and cross-functional projects, as well as engage with industry groups and consultants on behalf of J.P. Morgan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of Public Relations experience, either agency or in-house.
  • In-depth experience in all aspects of Public Relations, from creating and presenting a strategy, to writing pitches, securing opportunities, managing interviews, monitoring and presenting results on a regular basis.
  • Proven ability to proactively pursue and achieve a high level of press activity, working independently. Must be comfortable with measurement of press placements on an ongoing basis.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with and influence senior executives.
  • Experience in handling crisis communications, coordinating with Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders as needed.
  • Ability to create and sustain productive relationships with the media.
  • May include occasional domestic travel for ETF related conferences.
