Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Developing and distributing press releases and media advisories.
  • Writing pitches customized for reporters, editors, freelance journalists, contributors, and stringers.
  • Information-seeding with beat reporters at key Tier-1, trade, and regional media outposts, and managing media inquiries.
  • Drafting email interview responses, award submission packages, executive profiles, and talk summaries for speaking events, industry conferences, breakout sessions, and panels.
  • Collaborating on editorial content and client communications strategy.
  • Coordinating webinars and virtual events, as needed.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in PR, communications, journalism, or content strategy
  • A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, Marketing, or related field is required
  • A strong writer and an instinctive editor who can work fast without losing quality and factual accuracy
  • Proven experience pitching journalists / podcast hosts and securing coverage
  • Familiarity with media outreach tools (Qwoted, Prowly, Muck Rack, Cision, or Meltwater)
  • Comfortable working independently in a lean, fast-moving environment with high standards
  • Experience across business, sports, health, or lifestyle verticals is a plus
  • A Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, PR, or adjacent field is a plus
