Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Developing and distributing press releases and media advisories.
  • Writing pitches customized for reporters, editors, freelance journalists, contributors, and stringers
  • Cultivating relationships with key media outlets and managing media inquiries.
  • Drafting email interviews, award submission packages, executive profiles, and applications for speaking events.
  • Collaborating on editorial content and client communications strategy.
  • Coordinating webinars and virtual events, as needed.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in PR, communications, journalism, or editorial — agency or journalism background strongly preferred
  • A strong writer and an instinctive editor who can work fast without losing quality
  • Proven experience pitching journalists and securing coverage. Please be ready to speak to specific placements
  • Familiarity with media outreach tools (Prowly, Qwoted, Muck Rack, Cision, or similar)
  • Comfortable working independently in a lean, fast-moving environment with high standards
  • Experience across business, sports, health, or lifestyle verticals is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, or related field preferred

Preferred

  • Experience with podcasting, speaking events, or executive interviews
