  • Media Strategy & Execution: Build and run the media relations components of programs to secure positive coverage.
  • Media Relations Operations: Manage inquiries and serve as the primary media contact, cultivating journalist relationships.
  • Message & Coverage Improvement: Craft press materials, monitor coverage, and adjust tactics based on trends and opportunities.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide media relations counsel to account team members and clients
  • Strategize and execute media relations portion of programs
  • Interpret client needs into actionable, achievable media programs
  • Develop and execute media relations strategies to secure positive coverage and visibility our clients
  • Manage media inquiries and act as the primary point of contact for all media-related communications including Broadcast, Digital and Podcasts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media influencers to effectively communicate our key messages
  • Craft compelling press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials that resonate with target audiences
  • Monitor media coverage and analyze trends to inform strategic adjustments and identify opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align messaging and ensure cohesive communication across all channels

Requirements

  • 4+ years of PR agency experience
  • Established network of media relationships with key journalists and industry influencers
  • Must have broadcast experience
  • Proven ability to create media plans from concept and follow through to placement
  • Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional communications programs and delivering on set targets
