Job Summary

Own the in store and community engagement engine while delivering customer obsessed service, coaching a development minded team, and bridging store activities with activism and brand campaigns.

  • Leadership and Development: coach and delegate daily priorities, drive growth opportunities, and align with leadership on team development.
  • Marketing & Community: plan events, maintain Instagram and newsletters, and educate the team on brand campaigns to support store marketing goals.
  • Activism & Community Impact: lead activism participation, partner with local nonprofits, and guide grants/donations efforts to amplify community involvement.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Inspire your team to live Patagonia’s purpose in store and community.
  • Center the customer in everything we do; ensure Customer Experience Guides have tools and resources for best-in-class service.
  • Participate in Activism program using 18 activism hours to support the community and engage local nonprofits through grants and donations.
  • Marketing: collaboratively plan and execute events; support Activism Team Leader to meet all Activism requirements and seasonal priorities from Retail Marketing.
  • Maintain a consistent, locally relevant, and engaging Instagram account aligned to Marketing’s calendar and guidelines.
  • Build and send monthly newsletters to the store community covering events, activism, and hiring opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Team Leader partners to educate your team on Patagonia’s brand campaigns and ensure all marketing components are fulfilled.
  • Leadership: drive engagement, coach, delegate priorities, and grow team members; partner with leadership to address growth opportunities.
  • Training/Hiring: assist in hiring and train fellow employees, supporting development through coaching and feedback.
  • Development: coach on communication and ownership skills, maintain feedback loops, and guide employees toward growth and passions; advise on appropriate discipline and recognize high performance.

Requirements

  • Experience You Bring: Community Outreach organizing programs with team and community participation.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: retail supervisor experience and an approachable, team-driven leadership presence.
  • Teaching/Coaching/Training: ability to foster development with direct strategies and constructive feedback.
  • Organization Skills: proactive, detail-oriented, and accurate in execution.
  • Attention to Detail: tasks completed with concern for all involved.
  • Time Management: reliable attendance and meeting deadlines across cross-functional work.
  • Adaptability/Ambiguity: able to pivot and maintain morale during change.
  • Communication: strong written and verbal skills; oversight of day-to-day tasks and projects.
  • Technical Learning: quick to learn computer systems and onboard others efficiently.
  • Problem Solving & Emotional Intelligence: constructive problem solver with consistency in performance and conflict management.
