The Chattanooga DuPont Nylon Employees Credit Union was organized and chartered February 26, 1954. On October 27, 1997, our East Brainerd office was opened in the Concorde Centre, Soddy Daisy on February 1, 2007, and in November 2011 we celebrated the opening of our Ooltewah office. Beginning June 2015 we proudly became Scenic Community Credit Union.We are a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution. Members elect a volunteer board of directors to oversee the Credit Union, and because members own SCCU, members have a say in how we do business. We always strive to make positive changes while keeping our Credit Union a safe, sound and responsible financial institution.The philosophy of SCCU today is the same as that of its original founders. We are committed to advancing financial peace of mind within our community by offering products and services our members need, when they need them. We also strive to educate our members and our community as a whole to equip them with the knowledge they need to achieve financial peace of mind.Membership in Scenic Community Credit Union is open to individuals, businesses, and organizations within Hamilton, Marion, and Sequatchie Counties in Tennessee, and individuals in Catoosa, Dade, and Walker Counties in Georgia.
