Job Description

About Kultivate Labs

Kultivate Labs is a Filipino-American cultural nonprofit based in SoMa Pilipinas, San Francisco's Filipino Cultural Heritage District. We build programs at the intersection of culture, entrepreneurship, and technology — including UNDSCVRD, Eksplora, ScaleUp SF, Balay Kreative, and SF LIVE.

About the Role

The Marketing & Programs Coordinator supports the Marketing Manager across all Kultivate Labs programs. This is a generalist marketing support role — equal parts content production, project coordination, and community communications. You'll work directly with the Marketing Manager and alongside the Executive Director and Creative Director to execute campaigns, maintain digital platforms, and keep marketing operations running smoothly across a growing portfolio of programs.

This is a hybrid/remote position. Attendance at all KL-produced events is mandatory, and the full team meets in person once a month.

Responsibilities

Content & Campaigns

  • Write and create weekly email newsletters for all KL programs (Mailchimp)
  • Write and create daily social media posts for all KL programs
  • Edit and adapt campaign assets using Canva and AI tools within Creative Director-approved templates
  • Support paid social campaigns for Eksplora and other programs
  • Schedule and publish content via Publer

Web & Analytics

  • Build and update Squarespace websites, including landing pages and event pages
  • Monitor and report on website analytics across KL platforms
  • Implement and maintain web SEO across KL platforms

ScaleUp SF

  • Train small business clients on marketing tools and workflows
  • Coordinate client intake and communications
  • Generate program reports for OEWD compliance and internal review

Event & Vendor Support

  • Support vendor communications for UNDSCVRD events
  • Project manage photographers and videographers for events and campaigns
  • Assist with day-of event marketing needs

What We're Looking For

  • 1–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field (nonprofit or community-centered experience a plus)
  • Strong written communication skills — clear, adaptable tone across audiences
  • Comfortable with Canva and social media platforms, including IG Reels
  • Familiarity with the SF performing arts scene a plus
  • Curiosity about AI-powered workflows and willingness to implement them
  • Highly organized, self-directed, able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Passion for Filipino-American culture, BIPOC community, and KL's mission

Tools You'll Use

Asana · Slack · Canva · Mailchimp · Squarespace · Lovable · CapCut · Publer · Typeform · Google Suite · Claude · ChatGPT

Compensation & Benefits

  • $70,304 annually
  • 3 weeks PTO + 3 weeks paid holiday closure (Christmas/New Year)
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision — 100% premium covered by KL (after 90-day probationary period)
  • 401(k) with up to 1% employer match
