Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Efforts • Develop and implement marketing plans and budgets for CPE programs and events.
  • Marketing Efforts • Collaborate with the CPE team to develop the marketing plan based on unique program needs and available marketing funds.
  • Marketing Efforts • Collaborate with CPE’s associate director to develop marketing budgets based on available funding for each program.
  • Marketing Efforts • Follow the current Continuing and Professional Education marketing plan and develop new plans in subsequent years. Proactively manage multi-channel marketing efforts (web, social media, digital, print) to support program enrollment and visibility.
  • Marketing Efforts • Analyze past campaign performance to inform future strategy and recommend improvements based on data‑driven insights.
  • Marketing Efforts • Ensure consistency with CU Denver branding and messaging guidelines.
  • Marketing Efforts • Maintain collaborative working relationships with SEHD faculty, staff, University Communications (UCOMM), Recruitment & Outreach, Continuing & Professional Education, and other partners.
  • Marketing Efforts • Execute sponsorship paperwork, approvals, and coordination as needed.
  • Digital & Email Communications • Draft, review, and deploy promotional emails for CPE programs using Marketing Cloud.
  • Digital & Email Communications • Develop marketing materials such as brochures, newsletters, and online content to effectively communicate the organization's message and services.

Requirements

  • Intermediate Professional: A bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, business administration, business, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • One (1) year in a professional role in marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, business administration, business, or a directly related field.
  • Substitution: Related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.

Preferred

  • Intermediate Professional: Demonstrated experience with CRM tools
  • Demonstrated experience with promotional or event photography
  • Experience using products in the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience using Canva
  • Demonstrated experience placing social media ads
  • Bilingual English/Spanish language with limited working proficiency
  • Experience with customer relationship management systems and reporting.
  • Experience managing marketing projects
  • Experience analyzing campaign and audience analytics
  • Senior Professional: Experience with Salesforce or Marketing Cloud or Cvent CRM tools
