Job Description

Responsibilities

Create and schedule social media content and engage with our online community
Capture authentic photo and video stories at classrooms, family events, and other Growing Futures activities
Assist with volunteer group coordination and support community engagement efforts
Represent Growing Futures at local networking events, including Johnson County Chamber of Commerce gatherings
Support the Marketing Coordinator and broader development team with communications and fundraising activities

Requirements

Interest in early childhood education, nonprofit work, or serving the community
Comfortable taking photos and videos and engaging with children, families, and community members
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
Organized, dependable, proactive, and willing to take initiative
Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn preferred

Preferred

Canva or basic photo-editing experience is a plus

Growing Futures Early Education Center, formerly Head Start of Shawnee Mission, is a not-for-profit organization providing quality early education opportunities and family support services for children in Johnson County, Kansas. Growing Futures offers Early Head Start, Head Start, and Community Child Care options for children 0-5 and their families.
