Your Role as a Marketing Generalist The Marketing Generalist supports the bank’s brand, growth, and community presence by executing a wide range of marketing and communications activities. This role is ideal for a versatile, self-directed marketer who is comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution across digital, print, events, external communications, and community engagement. The Marketing Generalist works closely with internal partners across retail, lending, and leadership to ensure marketing initiatives align with the bank’s goals, values, and regulatory requirements. Major Duties And Responsibilities Core Values & Culture Commitment: Uphold SmartBank Core Values and Core Purpose. Marketing Support Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels. Create, coordinate, and update digital content, print collateral, branch signage, and advertisements. Manage day-to-day content for the bank’s website, social media, and email communications. Coordinate community involvement initiatives, sponsorships, and events. Partner with retail and lending teams to support local and regional marketing needs. Assist with campaign tracking, reporting, and performance analysis. Work with external vendors, agencies, and media partners. Ensure compliance with brand standards, bank policies, and regulatory requirements. Support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Education Position Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred. 2–5 years of marketing or communications experience; financial services experience a plus. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Training Requirements (licenses, Programs, Or Certificates) None Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Broad understanding of marketing principles across multiple disciplines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with design and marketing platforms preferred. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Professional presence representing the bank in public settings. Ability to apply knowledge and sound judgment in decision-making using established guidelines. Demonstrates ability to maintain a positive attitude. High level of integrity. Able to maintain regular and predictable attendance. Willing to accept new ideas and methods and be agreeable to change. Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with frequent interruptions. Must be able to able to prioritize and organize daily workflow. Strong relationship management and business development/sales skills. Thorough knowledge of bank products and services. Work Conditions Able to routinely stand, sit, bend and stoop. Frequently and regularly required movements using wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare and inspect documents or products and operate machinery. Ability to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. May require travel. May be required occasional evening or weekend work to support events or campaigns. Work Schedule The Marketing Generalist typically works during standard business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
