Job Summary

Own community event program planning and execution end to end, coordinating with clinical and education teams to shape topics, drive participation, and measure impact.

  • Event ownership: plan, coordinate, and execute community events from concept through completion.
  • Cross-functional partnerships: build relationships with community organizations, partners, and referral sources to boost visibility and collaboration.
  • Engagement and measurement: gather feedback, monitor program effectiveness, and identify improvements for future programming.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute New Birth community events from concept through completion.
  • Manage logistics, timelines, budgets, vendors, supplies, registrations, and event communications.
  • Coordinate annual and recurring events including but not limited to: Birth Professionals Open Houses, Staff Retreats, Client Appreciation Events, Community Outreach Events, Tours
  • Ensure events reflect New Birth's brand, mission, and values.
  • Coordinate event volunteers, staff participation, and event-day operations.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and recommend improvements for future programming.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, partners, local businesses, and referral sources.
  • Develop opportunities for collaboration and community education.
  • Represent New Birth at community events, health fairs, networking opportunities, and outreach activities.
  • Identify opportunities to increase visibility and engagement within communities served by New Birth.

Requirements

  • Experience coordinating events, community programs, educational activities, or outreach initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience with event registration systems, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across diverse communities.

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare, nonprofit organizations, education, or community-based services.
  • Familiarity with midwifery, birth work, maternal health, or reproductive health.
  • Experience with social media planning and content coordination.
  • Experience coordinating classes, workshops, or educational programs.
  • Knowledge of community engagement and relationship-building strategies.
  • Desired Personal Attributes: Warm, welcoming, and relationship-oriented.
