Job Summary

Own the community storytelling and presence for a disability-focused nonprofit, balancing visual content, platform storytelling, and event-led engagement for a local audience.

  • Content & Brand Assets: Create branded marketing materials and a cohesive content calendar to support messaging across social, web, and print.
  • Social & Community Engagement: Build and monitor social channels, respond to audiences, and drive engagement with platform-specific content and community events.
  • Events & Partnerships: Lead community events and funding activities, coordinate volunteers, vendors, and logistics while nurturing partner relationships.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design visually appealing marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, banners, and social media graphics that align with IKUS’ branding guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to create engaging and informative content such as blog posts, press releases, and newsletters.
  • Catalog and maintain our photo collection to showcase IKUS’ activities and achievements.
  • Maintain an organized content calendar to ensure timely and relevant messaging.
  • Create and curate compelling content for various platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn to increase engagement, followers, and brand awareness.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to comments, and maintain a positive online presence.
  • Track social media to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain IKUS’ website, mailing lists, and social media to ensure content is regularly updated with the most recent information and messages are returned in a timely manner.
  • Independently coordinate community events such as annual Trick or Treat Street and Breakfast with Santa, including overseeing logistics, managing registrations, committee/staff tasks, volunteers, materials and promotion, coordinating with vendors, creating itineraries, and marketing.
  • Be the key associate at community events including preparation, set-up, event execution and tear-down.
